I want to write a poem

I want to write a poem, but not just any poem

I want to write an epic poem

I want to write a poem which is simple and profound.

I want to write a poem with words so beautiful that it will change the world, forever.

I want to write a poem to heal every heart

I want to write a poem to melt away every wound, every wrong that has hurt every person

I want to write a poem to wipe away every tear

I want to write a poem which will dispel every worry, every doubt

I want to write a poem which will bring peacefulness and love to each heart

I want to write a poem which will let everyone know how absolutely precious they are

I want to write a poem such that I can hold everyone’s hand in mine

I want to write a poem such that I can gaze into the eyes of each person and let them know who they really are...a loving child filled with awe and curiosity 

I want to write a poem that will rip away all the shame and blame, rip away all the suspicions and fears we’ve learned 

I want to write a poem that will tear away all the things that divide us all from ourselves and from each  other.

I want to write a poem which will stop time, which will open every heart

I want to write a poem with words beyond words.

I want to write a poem with thoughts beyond our ideas.

I want to write a poem to make sense of all the senselessness. 

I want to write a poem which only the heart can understand.

I invite you to close your eyes, to hold your hands to your heart and listen.

Listen. 

I want to write a poem which I don’t know how to write.

Close your eyes, your ears, your mouths.

Listen.

The poem I want to write is there.

It has already been written.
