A Message for 2021

I know nothing really changed between yesterday and today.

I know this.

However, I have a feeling of comfort knowing 2020 is no longer.

It’s like 2020 was a college course that was so grueling and tedious. It seemed like it would never end. It just went on and on.

But it ended last night. I don’t know what grade I got yet, but it doesn’t matter.

We’re done with 2020.

We made it.

I have never felt such relief that a year is over.

2020 is over.

I am so grateful.

Again, I know there really isn’t a difference between today and yesterday, but right now it feels different. I feel an optimism.

Right now I’m sitting in a warm, quiet house, drinking coffee, writing this on a phone that has more technology in it than NASA had for the moon landing. I have people in my life who love me and a host of strangers (car mechanics, grocery store clerks mail deliverers, truck drivers) who help my life be so much easier.

I sit here feeling very blessed and fortunate.

Thank you for being a part of my life and putting up with my dry humor.

Let’s see what’s next!!
