It All Went By So Fast

It all went by so fast

One day I sat up to discover I had toes and the next day, decades flew by, and I struggled to bend down to touch those same toes

It all went by so fast

Sometimes I want time to go by slower. But the second hand on my clock just has this steady pace

Sometimes I look back wondering what have I done with this life

Have I done enough?

Have I done anything at all?

I can remember many things, but everything is a bit blurry

And what is the point in looking back anyway?

To feel good about myself?

To feel badly about myself?

Those are worthless thoughts

I just wake up each day and do my best to help people and listen to birds, look at trees and walk in a state of constant wonder and curiousity

I continue to learn that God is inside me AND that I am inside God

I am inside God!

What a wonder!

What a wonder!

the best I can do right now is say “thank you”

so, thank you
